Yes, I’m talking about hair.
Most times, we blame our genetics for loss of hair, but studies have shown that parents are not necessarily the cause of thin hairline or balding scalp.
There are more than a dozen reasons for hair loss, some more popular than most, but it’ll do you a lot of good to really understand your hair and reasons why you may be experiencing loss of hair.
Causes of Hair Loss
This is the most obvious reason, and the very first reason that pops into the minds of almost everyone that has experienced hair loss at a point in their lives.

The main gene, responsible for male pattern hair loss, is the one that makes your hair follicles sensitive to your body’s natural hormones. If you inherit this gene for androgen sensitivity, your own natural male hormone dihydrotestosterone (which comes from testosterone) causes a progressive miniaturisation of hair follicles in the predictable pattern of hairline recession and balding crown.
Stress is another reason why you have probably experienced or are currently experiencing hair loss. Taking on too much is just very unhealthy, both to your mind and your body.
Series of severe stress typically sends the body into a state of shock, flooding it with various hormones and metabolites. This may lead to telogen effluvium, a shedding of the hair.
The hair requires minerals, protein, and vitamins to remain healthy.
Deficiencies in other nutrients, such as vitamin B (specifically B12) and protein can contribute to hair loss.
Yes, it is very good to stay healthy and stay away from certain foods just to stay for, but overdoing it may just be leading to your hair loss.
Your body requires minerals and vitamins to work and depriving it of those will only have an adverse effect on your health and that of your hair as well.
It is well known that chemotherapy medications can cause hair loss, but what most people haven’t figured out yet, is that there a host of other drugs that can also ultimately lead to hair loss.
These include anti-thyroid medications, hormonal therapies (like birth control), anticonvulsants (for epilepsy), anticoagulants, beta-blockers, and many others. High-cholesterol and high blood pressure drugs also carry the same effect.

Most men need as much as 7 hours sleep daily for our bodies to completely reboot and be at utmost efficiency.
Lack of adequate sleep will not only affect our brain power, it will also ultimately affect our hair follicles growth cycle.
